Coils will give you strut clearance over stock wheels
this is true they are very close to rubbing the breaks!
my safest bet for now(getting roady) is just to chick the stock ones on which have little to no tred cause my dodgy guy should give it to me, then hopefully get coils before i get pulled over and then hopefully cut the exhaust off so that i do get pulled over. fug it come at V..

Got the roady and the rego, so now gonna try chuck some 60/40 spring i have lying around on it, theyre from my mk2 so dunno if they'll fit...
and also does anyone know if there is a way of getting mk4 gti seats into a mk3 without cutting out the floor bracket and welding the mk4 one in? if that doesnt work ill just need some mk3 seats i guess..
and decided I'm just gonna take the suitcase off, see it its too loud, if it is, ill connect to the muff

You'll need to put mk4 rails on. It's an easy job really massive improvement over stock seats.
i think il give it a go, but after springs and exhaust.. might make it my mission to learn how to weld this holidays. and ofcourse ill put up photos. byway..
a little update and Q:
iv'e decided to go with cutting out the cat and res and suitcase(lol) and just a 2.5" or whatever to the muffler.
I'm still not 100% sure if the mk2 60/40's will fit.. so ill post up a pic just incase anyone knows how to tell... or just knows..
NYWAY! the Q i have is: are there any small mods, not to expensive cause ill be selling in about a year, to give the bastard more umph down low, abit sluggish tbh, its sick when its at 3K+ but otherwise pretty ave.
so ive heard of "cheese boxing" the air intake.. or whatever its called when u cut little holes in the box. but would putting a pod in there be more efficient, and are there any other tricks?

There's a thread on here that shows the process of putting mk4 seats in. Look up what DubSteve did either through here or google and you'll find it.
Why bother doing all this though if your going to sell it?
for that knowledge

Why not do it to a car your going to keep? And there's no money made in doing mods so everything your spending money on is eating into your sale price. Good luck selling something with a 2.5" straight through too!
