sorry didn't see this until now, nah it doesnt need VIV

i just got her back from the mechanic, and it just needs the roady and rego

atm just tryna source some cheap used (best option) or cheap online coilovers for her, not looking for any comfort in ride just stance.

annnnnnnd basically some 205/45/16 or 205/40/16 tyres which im having a hard time coming across. apparently theyre an odd tyre.

and ive decided to just cut the suitcase out and replace it with nothing... just leave the muffler for looks and see how that sounds, if its too loud ill smack up a pipe to the muffler, but... ill wait to get pulled over first. :p

Why not just weld in a piece of pipe while in there removing suitcase. Would be way too loud and seems pointless to cut it off and leave it hanging there.

oh nah i have a mate who can weld, so were gonna cut it off, see how loud it is, if it doesn't set off the neighbours alarms we'll leave it but if its too loud we'll plug her up

    Personal experience.

Vr no muffler = block dem ears

When I first got mine it had a smaller muffler instead if the large suitcase.

Sounded sick. No drone. Wasn't loud.

Cheap coilovers would have to be the JOM ones found on ebay! 245$ inc shipping (i think)!

edit, they've gone up a bit in price, 350$USD

^^ seem ntb, see how we go! gotta get roady first!

today i had time to try on my other mk4 wheels and theyre 16 running 205/55 and unfortunately they're still to close! and rub on the suspension mount or whatever its called. strut?

    heres a photo.

they look abit better but **** my life. What are my options to not get them to sit so close to the suspension mount?

heres a photo of the bottom or the car, incase anyone need to see what the exhaust is like. it was on the hoist so i said why not!

I had something like those wheels on mine, they were sooo so close to touching the brakes, I think part of the wheel may have rubbed.
