Why not do it to a car your going to keep? And there's no money made in doing mods so everything your spending money on is eating into your sale price. Good luck selling something with a 2.5" straight through too!

Keep the cat.. Even if you just use a $50 eBay job. Much better than the 10k fine.

You'll kill yourself after a week with a straight pipe. Keep it stock and just remove the rear muffler.
