If you think your rear shocks are shagged and need some to get you by for a while till you get some coils, I have my stock rear sus setup you can borrow if need be.

Weather is finally getting better in this **** hole we call Adelaide so time for a photoshoot mate

Cheers Lorenz, I am getting a suspension test tomorrow so I'll see what that comes up with although I can guess the answer I reckon. Yeah it's definetly time me thinks.

stock VR6 weakest element - suspension

Welome to VAG ownership - teh VR6's a great first choice.

The VR6 was designed as a high speed autobahn cruser. It will sit on 230km/hr all day (really), the gear ratios, torque curve and suspension were set up for it. But the rebound rates are great for that but not for enthusiastic cornering.

your struts are probably knakered, but even if they are mint I can highly recommend ditching them and getting aftermarket, most brands are pretty good, don't have to do coilovers. drop it 20-25mm (but it will scrape a bit)
totally diferent car, will largely cure the understeer and help control torque steer.

so even if you wern;t considering mods, I'd look serioulsy at suspension.

    cheers

Yeah I may have to do that, but I may have an ace up my sleeve.

Can anyone send me a picture of the light in the boot of their MK3, I suspect mine is broken and am curious to see what it looks like and where its mounted.
