    WELCOME WELCOME,

Loving the leather seats! Enjoy the mk3 and enjoy the forum. As for the missus killing you about modding the VR, your shocks are worn right?? It's a crucial safety "repair" not a mod. It is also the single best thing you can do for your car and it's crazy cheap!!

    Good Luck!

If you're ever unsure about the coilovers and want to have a feel of what they are like before you get a set, feel free to PM me and we can sort something out where you can try mine first, they are the same as Robin has for sale

I used the same excuse as mentioned above, worked a treat hehe! I felt unsafe enough with all that body roll thrashing around in the hills....the coils fixed that hehe

Not a problem at all I'll have to contact you when I am seriously thinking about them for sure, I need to find some extra cash at the moment though before I can think about doing anything to the car.

    OK update time.

I finally got fed up with looking at my faded plastic trims so decided to paint them up a little. I would like to thank Lorenz and Mickey for the advice and help they gave me prior to starting.

I used the following to paint the trim with. And as you can see it worked well. I bought two cans but only needed the one.

When I got to taking off the rear arches I found one of the prvious owners must have rolled the guards to accomodate for wider tyres and had Sikaflexed the rear arches on to the car. It took me ages to get just the driver's side off. And as you can see I haven't put it back on yet. Hoping to pop down to Bunnings during the week and get some sikaflex and small G clamps.

After trying for ages to finally take off the drivers side arch, I decided to leave the passenger side rear arch on the car and instead used Kiwi Shoe Polish to bring up the colour, although I do want to take it off and respray it like the others.
