17s fit, as far as I know, but it'll be tight.
Those 17x7 BBS arent common round deese parts btw!
i've been thinking about getting some new wheels for my vr6
i have a set of these in 16x6.5s on at the moment and there is hardly any caliper clearence (this isnt my car)
looking at some secondhand bbs
found these for sale 17x7 5x100 offset: 55
and these originals so 15x6.5 5x100 offset: 43 centre bore: 57.1
was hoping for some opinions and if someone could tell me if the 17s will fit without scrubbing. car does have coilovers if that changes anything?

those 17's will need some spacers to look even remotely decent. I'd be surprised if they clear the calipers actually!
those 17s are common as. come off a subaru and are always on fleabay for peanuts.
7" width is no worries. but with a offset like that you may (and id be pretty confident) be fouling the struts.
also a lot of 5x100 wheels like the above come from subaru, so the centre bore is generally 56 something, smaller then our 57.1, so if the case they need to be bored out bigger
Edit: there is at-least 3 sets in AUS listed right this very second![]()

thanks for the replies. ruled out the 17s can't be bothered making them fit with centre bore issues etc
i found this set of 14s i think off a mk4 but the owner doesn't seem to know much about them. would they fit no problems?
its now between these and the stock bbs.
as above, they might not clear... plus the specs would be horrid.
try find some audi TT, A3 or S3 wheels from a early model, should suit better.
hmm maybe i should just give mine a good clean up and repaint. although i kinda like the idea of putting the stocks back on for a oem look. audi wheels would be awesome but im pretty low on funds at the moment and i can get the 15" bbs for $400
those audi wheels sell for as low as $150. have also seen people pay as much as 1K, if you were interested in 16" wheels should be able to get them below $400, check out ozaudi, ebay and so on
sweet! thanks for the advice and sites, ozaudi looks good but i have just found a vento for ridiculously cheap. waiting to recieve email from the owner but if its still for sale all $ will be going to that
