    In with the new MK3...

    Hey all,

I've been on this forum for a while now, but after my purchase this weekend, i've made the move from the SEAT Ibiza corner, to the big brother MK3 Golf corner.

Got a nice deep Maroon 5 door '96 model and it's ready to be treated with a little more love and tinkering.

Already spent half my working day browsing through the links and posts here to find myself a few aftermarket bits.

Looking forward to your advice and direction for any Q's i may have.

    Cheers

    Jon...

    Wow!

Thanks for the responses guys. lets see if i can fill you all in on the details:

    1. The car is a CL but with full electric windows, sunroof and central locking.
    2. I'd heard a lot about the window regulators so i made sure I checked them, and the rear left regulator is the only one that's a little slow. Not bad.
    3. Lowering - Hell Yeah. I'm definitely keen to get the car closer to the floor.
    4. Pictures. I'll give her a good clean and make it feel like mine, and then snap some shots. What's the best place to host pics so they appear in the thread?
    5. Already got a 'badgeless grille' on order which will look sweet.

Set up an account with Photobucket:

Download Flock to use as an upload manager:
    http://www.flock.com/

While Flock is in internet browser based on Mozilla's Firefox, you can install it alongside both Firefox and Internet Explorer and use it only for uploading photos (which is what I do).

Why use Flock you mights ask?

    * It handles batch uploads
    * It allows for basic crops and rotations on the fly without effecting the original file.
    * It resizes photo's BEFORE sending, which minimises your upload size so it takes the minimum amount of time.

It can also play with Facebook and Flicker and a few others if your into things like that.

x2 on the Flock recommendation. I use it for all my browsing duties now and love it. Exactly the same as Firefox. Main downside is that it can take much longer to load than IE or Firefox... dunno why though.
