    So would it technically mean your car would be slightly faster? haha...

    machine the flywheel (take material off it).

    how i see it, (as simply as possible), the less mass your engine has to drive, the more pooowwwahh it can devote to actually rotating your wheels.

    simple.

    i'd totally go lightened flywheel/uprated clutch if a) i had any power, b) if my syncro wasn't already f*cked

    Get it lightened locally.
    Use the telephone to find out who can do it
    I can get it done, but whilst its at the machine shop or off the car, you are driving no-where.
