Need VR6 VIN Number (My 2 door has a 1.8L VIN)

    Hey guys,
I need some parts for my engine and the VIN number that came on the shell specifies that I have a 2 door 1.8L. Could anyone with VR6 VIN please chuck it up here or contact me with it so I can get these parts I so desperately need (damn VW's).
    Thanks, Ben.

I think you are buying parts from the wrong place if they can't help you out without a VIN.

What parts do you actually need anyway?

It actually is very hard for vw to find parts without a vin, as there software comes with all the models europe also got, and so there are a few different variations of even the vr6 engine. For things like that I'd supply a vin to help a bit. If you still need one I can go and get it off the vr6 if you like

Granted... but you're still boned unless you can tell us what engine number (or what model it is) otherwise you may end up with the wrong engine parts...

I'm not sure how much difference there is, but I do know the oil filters are different on pre and post mid '96 engines :S

I'm out at the moment so don't have the break number, but there is a listing somewhere of what engine number the change happens at...
