Go to vw and get a new one, screw out the old, in with the new and you'll be right...
Happened to me and only cost like $20...
on my gf's golf, it appears to be leaking from the oil sensor, the one on the right hand side, just below the oil cap. but not next to it, i mean literally through the brown plastic mass, wtf?

ideas?
ill try to replace it and see how we go, but why would it do that

Where the metal pin goes throught the plastic resin, oil works its way out. If you jiggle the metal bit, you will see a dribble start.
Easy fix, I have the sensors in stock if you cant get one nearer.

definately the oil sensor, i changed mine, hard to get exact same part, works the same , but yeah, under 20 bucks isnt bad for genuine parts
