    Question Mysterious *BEEP*

Hey boiz, just a lil question . . . When i'm drivin hard out (like last weekend me and ma mates went for a dash through Mount Nebo and Mount Glorious round midnight sat night) sometimes ma VR6 beeps at me?!

Now i'm pretty sure its the car . . . ? The VR6's dont have any sort of traction control do they?! Just freakin me out a lil. . .

    Cheers for any help!

Is it the horn? or some other sound?

    Random ideas:

1# horn wiring in steering wheel buggered and knocking at strange places when you turn the wheel.

2# oil low and warning buzzer sounding when you go around corner and oil surges, oil light would also be on at the same time as the buzzer sounds.

    My 10c.

when you put your foot on the clutch? mine did that for a while, there was a loom under the dash being crushed by the pedal assembly, and this caused the horn to honk!

Defo oil pressure warning, could be surging due to a low level. I used to get it on my mk1 at the track if the oil wasn't to the top of the dipstick marker.

my car buzzes a lil bit if im givin it an absolute thrashing and the oil is close to the lowest mark.
But its a buzz not a beep. But VW may have changed the sound along the way.
The oil light doesnt actually come on tho. Goes away when i top her up a lil bit.

Yeah I`d say oil warning buzzer. Mk1s and 2s do it if you slide round a hard right hand corner.
