w00t, got the car back from the smash repairs! Had a tough time with NRMA not covering minor things that they deemed were "old damage". They were all based on rust marks being more "brownier" than othersAt the end of the day, they provided compensation for a few hours labour on the old damage and managed to get that fixed up.
Today, I got the time to roll my front guards properly. I had a go with the hammer and surprisingly it worked out fine. I got a few paint cracks but it was rolled in to the best of my ability with a blow dryer and a cloudy day.
Wheels fitted on fine with no clearance issues. Once lowered down, the wheels were poking out slightly which was exactly what I wantedEndless nights of searching for pics and playing around with offsets and widths has finally paid off
Drove around ****ty roads and Parramatta Road, and didn't rub one bit
Oh, and I regret not going for coilovers in the first placeThe car doesn't go much lower than that...
