Looking good Ray, I guessed you used the Battery Box that is in the pic you posted.
I might also look at doing this, then when I put my Turbo on, there is more room for intercooler piping![]()
Did you make a cradle for it ray?

MODS- TOO MANY
man, that wood-look is sweet! hahatop job!! ur imagination and creativity continues to amaze me! . . . But, why did you make the false floor? i thought it would be high enough to mount a dry cell battery on its side and hide it or something? big props though
![]()
I've got an amp and sub coming![]()
Get a room u two, i reckon louis spends more time with ray than his girl
Saw the false floor up close and decided that ill pinch it from him one day. It looks real good. So next is the vr6 quad turbo awd twin engine stuff??
Oh duff duff is cool but wana see what shoes u r wearing atm![]()
Ah mate thats dodgy as. Lol
Big no-no IMO, if just one part of the cable gets damaged (And you'll be amazed what can happen with stones/vibrations/bumps etc) it will ground itself on the car and you'll have a fire on your hands.
Rip up your carpet/seats and run it inside the car ! It's not too hard of a job.
I've seen the shoes...They are sexy as!
Ray, is your false floor for the amp and sub?? Where does your spare tyre go??

I'll re-do the cabling when I modify a battery box to fit. I found an existing hole in the floor of the rear passenger-side seat so I'll most likely be re-routing it through there, back out onto the side sills.
James, they're OZ Racing Superturismos. The seller said they were genuine but I had doubts once they got to me (heavy and the lip design looks different). They were originally off a New Beetle - specs are 16x6.5, 5x100, 57.1mm centrebore. Offset I'm unsure of, but it sits almost identically to the stock VR6 BBS wheels, so I'm guessing ET38<->ET43
The centre-caps won't fit on the rear because of the wheel bearing dust cap poking out. I think I'll need spacers for that(nah, I'm gonna stop spending unnecessary money).
No pics yet but Louis and I installed the amp and sub today (in a make-shift enclosure). Mickey, the spare tyre can be reached from the trap door! I thought you saw it? The amp is now placed next to the battery, above (and clear from) the trap door, and sub will be placed in a custom enclosure built around the left side pocket, pretty much the same as Louis' set-up.
