a skit plate will make me raise up the car... which means that there's no point in putting it on i might as well just raise the car up

what i've done is i've adjusted the travel, and suspension hardness. just when i thought it couldn't get any rougher. hopefully this stops it from going to high up when i hit a bump.

Have a look at vortex there are plenty of people that do it and proven it. Plenty of travel and you won't bend drive shafts!

It will require some welding but apart from that not to hard, I have thought about doing it to my car, still undecided.

Apart from that careful of your sump plug its getting pretty thin by the looks of it, just to let you know. If you can get another one and cut the plug out and rreposition it to a higher position!!!

    Lovin the driveshaft Marty
God knows how stiff your car is now, but hopefully it will stop acting like a lathe on the drive shaft...come to think of it, thats quite a good way to lighten them

Let the driveshafts self-clearance themselves - mine rubbed at the same point as well but it got to the stage where it stopped rubbing on the frame haha. I'm worried about the first mark though - what's rubbing on that? And how about your tie-rods? Are those rubbing?

If you've got the money, go for an R32 pan with the shorter pickup. Slightly more clearance but we all know millimetres make all the difference

oh thats good to hear. i wanted to hear that. The other line is rubbing from a zip tie on my brake line. i'm not actually sure why its there. Its probably holding my whole car together. i looked at The tie-rods, and couldnt find any evidence of rubbing. thankfully.

i would like an r32 pan. They are like 300 bucks arent they?

thats only a few engine sumps...i might think about it

    thanks for the info!!!!
