my poor neglected mk3

hey everyone! I have been neglecting my mk3

everything seems to be going wrong with it lately.
Firstly, I have had problems with the windows for years, the back one go down but not back up. the front passenger one is fine, but a little noisy, sounds crackly almost. and the drivers window.. well it is currently being held up by a block of wood. i went to an auto elec, he told me to get a regulator, so i ordered one at the local vw place, got the part, and LO! it was not what i needed, AND the place i bought it is gone. apparently i need a terminal???

Secondly, i have this god awful noise coming from the left rear of the car, it sounds like something is grinding when i am going slow, but when i speed up it sounds more like a whirring sound. i took it to the mechanic and he told me it was AIR coming from the back window that wasnt closed properly. it is NOT air, i know my car and the sounds it makes. im thinking a bearing but i dont know how to check that.

Thirdly, my air con has siezed. When i turn it on it makes this god awful loud chort sound and black smoke comes from the engine. i got quoted 2500 to fix it!!!!

Fourth, I ordered a steering wheel column cover thing for the inside of the car, i wanted the bottom one but not the top. he got me the top and has since closed. i called another vw dealership and they want 180 for a piece of plastic. is that right?

Fifth, the little glass cover on the front of the car where the fog light would be is broken, i got told 100 for a new one. 100 for a piece of glass thats a little bigger than a cigarette packet??

Finally! where do i get interior parts from? Next to the front passenger seat there is a little plastic console thing and broke. and no one knows that im talking about when i ask about it! and the little vw symbol thingys that in the centre of the alloys.. where do i get those?

and just to note, i live in Albury.. the middle of knowhere and the only place that deals with vw is "Wodonga Prestige" and they arent very helpful and are really expensive!

oh! Also, i have a coolant leaking problem. i need to put about 500ml in every 3 weeks or so. a few months ago i had to replace a hose as it was cracked but its still leaking, but i cant tell from where

Hey Puppe das ist nicht Klasse!

try our sponsor Camden GTI for parts (or Golf Loon) he will ship bits cheap or even trade yor car for a better one lol. My 1996 Seat Cordoba is like Mk3 and has done 303,000kms so one of the later mods is tough and sweet.
Your aircon could be as litlle as $450 to fix.. check if water comes out of the exhaust then I would try trading the car.
If you need good advice try a Mobile mechanic or Lubemobil imo as they need to be good to survive plus they come to house or workplace and source parts at god prices. (the rest dwn there seem hopeless rippoffs)
