True. Should be the last thing that gets done at a shop however.
I called them today and by the looks of things they won't be able to get it back together by 5. So I must wait till Monday:@
So I have 2 years of p's to go.. But I'm set on this car.
I'm thinking. R32 crank, .120 thou oversized pistons gt35 turbocharger.
Or a twin turbo set up, possible awd or massive slicks FWD drag attack + track attack car
What is the opinions?
Sorry for the dumb post, I'm out having a few...
Realistically I'd bet nothing you just said is going to happen, no offence. Especially an AWD conversion. Good luck with that.
2 years is a long time. May as well get some NA power out of it for now, then think about turboing it when you actually can, if you havent written it off/sold it/lost interest by then.
Not meaning to put you down, just saying.
Awd was a leap I know, but it is receiving oversized pistons, turbocharger and supporting mods.
Nice car man, I like the rims especially. I got ****ed around about the H4 and H1 globes yesterday by Repco who told me they were H4s, then I look mine out and they were H1s I'm an idiot and should have looked in the manual/pulled them out first
And yeah hahaha turbo + AWD conversion would be insane Definately wouldn't want to be going the turbo without the AWD, as this will happen: GOLF VR6 TURBO - YouTube (skip to 1:50, plenty of wheelspin). Good luck with it all anyway

Thanks pat. The wheels have grown on me too. I have never really been fond of that style but I think they sit good on the mk3. The whole headlight situation is a complete mess up and highly annoying. But at least it's now confirmed for others
That is one insane car. I saw one running 6-8psi and it was pretty quick and manage to keep the wheelspin minimum whilst running a little over 200kw.
So, I've been thinking about getting an exhaust system. However, from what i have read is, the corrado is rated at a few kW more due to a 2.36" exhaust and different cat, compared to the golf's 2.25".
So theoretically, if I ran a 2.36" with a different cat i should see an increase in power, noise and still remain a healthy amount of back pressure. Or alternatively can I run a bit bigger, such as a 2.5, and not lose much down low torque/power and backpressure?
As for tips I have no idea; I've seen the usual types I.e Remus, Magnaflow etc. I was think maybe the Xforce Varex if anyone has used one?
What have some of you other VR6 guys done?
So next little thing was removal of the chrome gearknob and replace it with something a little more OEM.
A 'MK4 GTi' gearknob of fleabay.
So on this sunny change of a day, i busted out the wet n dry and from a little toy from jamie this was the result!
