Yeah i get what your saying, def go the MK 3.5 cabby wheel. I was referring to a boss kit and momo wheel as something you couldn't use as it doesn't have an airbag. As for rims, i like the oem looking ones, would be awesome.
mk3.5 cabby wheel would be legal I think, its plug and play and has an airbag, approved for essentially the same car. I doubt an assessor would pick it as not from a mk3. That being said - nobody buy one as I need it!!
these 2 from tsw are kinda nice
or a bit more oem

yellow dials where did you get them from?

You know what? I thought they were stock! But when Mr V came to look at my car he told me they were aftermarket, and that they are usually black. I will have a look again and see who makes them because it has a manufacturers name on them I think.
You will wear out a lot of cutting pads as it will constantly clog the pad full of paint and to do any good you will have to keep replacing the pads.
I would still try some prepsol as it might substantially reduce the amount of paint on the car and reduce the amount of cutting pads needed.

Couldnt hurt to try it on the bonnet seeing its being replaced and all
after about 3 hours of hand rubbing with cloths and cutting compound, I achieved this.
It sucked and I think prepsol needs to be tried!!
Paintwork is ok underneath, i think it could be brought up alot with a quality wax etc
