    My MK3 GL Budget Roller'

Just purchased this minter mk3 gl. Has 130,000 on the clock and all the goodies you'd expect from a gl in working order. Plan is to slam it, throw some steelies on there, sticker it up & some decent racks amongst other things. Already got some hot tuning coils on the way and should be picking up some 15" steelies within a few weeks. Check ze thread for future updates. Here is a pic, nothing much to look aside from a stocker.

And the gay headlight covers are coming off asap.

The headlights are just a ugly screw on cover, he told me the previous owner mentioned to him that this mk3 has optional sport extras..but sounds like a load of crap and he wasn't exactly sure himself.

In the end was $4800 , probably could of scored a cheaper mk3 but it's a minter so was happy to pay.

Aircon/Heating/Power Windows all work like it just rolled outta the factory.

    Cheers !

    thats a good price - i picked up a VR6 last week for $3,400

    - no RWC or Reg (cost me $88 + $500)
    - heater not working
    - aircon not working
    - a few bumps on the outside.. its kinda rough, but i like the imperfections on it (will post pics soon)

you get what you pay for i guess...

also i think the seller was being honest with you (and maybe some members here can comment) - the wheels are the same as the ones i saw on the MK3 with those g-hey headlight cover thingies... how does that make it 'sporty' though?

A good starting point, and with the 2L, a drivable daily.
Hows the paint out of interest?
PS, is she a manual or auto?

Few updates. Got some 15x6 steelies which I managed to get painted for free and some hottuning coilovers arrived...though they're labeled 'technix' on the box...I assume they're the same ? Should be rollin on steelies soon enough and it's then time to round up some stickers for some uber bombage.
