    My Maroon MK3!!

Hey guys, now that I've done the intro, thought I could show my car properly now.

First of all the car was mechanically maintained in A+ condition. But the outside trims and things were faded so I got out the black spray. While I was doing the bumper trims, I did the badges as well.

This is how the rear looks:
    Before the spray:

    After the spray:

This is how the front looks:

    -blacked out badge
    -resprayed grill
-changed the black under grill from my old maroon one.

After this I was just gonna put some dynamic steelies (15x8 +10 all round), but unfortunately that didn't clear the brakes and it scraped the insides. So didn't get those, but this is how it looked:

Since that didn't fit, I got them swapped for some Rota shakotan (15x7 +20 all round). This is what that looks like:

Then for some fun, I sticker bombed the petrol panel bit:

And the rear boot opener part, (this had the clearcoat pealing off) hence my decision to do this bit:

I also stencilled "illest" on to the bottom of my left tail lights:

Picked up so,e vr6 taillight from Sydney for $35 for the set, lucky as find. And rebadged the golf gl badges.

Did this on the rear window:

Did the roof in satin black as my clear coat was peeling like a potato. Haha

So far that's it.. I have ordered some Jom coilovers and expecting those next week or two. Also waiting on the bushes.

Eventually want to put some Nemoto Borbs staggered sets and get rid of the rota. But need to save up some more money first.

I'll keep the thread updated once I put in the coilovers. As this is first time putting in coilovers for me, if any of you live in South Eastern Melbourne and would be happy to give me hand..please help haha.

    Thanks in advance!

oh man, lots of (last season) jdm influences! also, I understand that money may be tight, but you've now bought rotas and are planning to buy some nemoto's; with that money you could've easily purchased a set of legit wheels..... other then that, you seem like a keen modifier, try scan the euro seen and get ideas from there. Also, before you start smashing ebay, be aware that it's full of a lot of china ****, so two words, please don't..... :p keep us posted!

I was running 185/55/R15 but I was too new to the tyre thing so I realised I would have liked to have run 195/45/R15..

That last picture seems to show a lot of condensation, is this the case? I have this problem with mine too and would like to know how to solve it lol.

Yeah mike1990, Its attracts a lot of dust as well. I have no clue how to get rid of that, I have to keep washing it every couple of days. So far i haven't found a solution. Ill let you know if I find any information on it!

Hey guys, this is a quick update on the car. I had really bad interior roof lining issue. Went to spotlight and got some fabric for $20. I followed rayray's diy, with my own little tweaks.

This is how it turned out:

I'll put more pictures in the morning tomorrow.

using those patterns can turn out bad because when you stretch it, the squares lose their alignment BUT you smashed it dude. I can appreciate it.....
