Small update.
So last weekend I degreased under the motor. The cross member and sway bar were covered in years of crud.
Next we pulled off the rain trays/scuttle panels and removed a forest worth of leaves, debris and dirt.
For whatever reason, there was a tar like substance on both sides of the engine bay.
So the air filter came out and more degreaser was applied.
I can now see the engine mounts and all the alloy is no longer black.
Fitted a new air filter and moved onto removing the oil filter. Grabbed my trusty oil filter wrench and soon discovered that I wouldn't be able to remove it without a 36mm socket.
So i drained the oil overnight, next day i bought a socket and changed the oil.
It appears that I have mild leak from both the sump plug and the sump gasket, meaning they will both require replacement before road worthy.
New coolant hoses have arrived and I hope to fit on the weekend depending upon the weather.
Other than that I'm still waiting on more parts to arrive
