    More Mods!!

    Hey everyone,

I want to increase the power of the golf........ more. I have been thinking about doing cams but cant decide between 256's or 268's? From research with forced induction the 256's are the way to go. Also the exhaust. I have got a few quotes on simple downpipes and 3inch through with high flow cat for around the $2000 mark and i cant afford that. Any suggestions on places to go?? Also any further info on what i should do performance wise with the SC?

    Cheers.

Your not gonna be able to increase anything without a standalone ecu !!!
The computer gonna play china man with you, with those cams.
Remember, what applies to the people in the states, doesnt apply to us !
You should really get that plug and play unit from lugtronic.

Yea i was looking into the lugtronic setup but its really pricey!! I am going to get a custom tune on the stock ecu..... if that makes sense. My main issue is the exhaust. I cant find anywhere in nsw that will do simple job for a reasonable price. I still have the stock cat and resonator. Any ideas?

    Thanks for the help.

I doubt you could find someone to do this .Your pretty much at the limit of a stock ecu with the charger kit , cams etc will tip it over the edge .
Do you want more power or do you want to go faster ?

Both. What are your suggestions? Any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated.

Im getting some quotes this week an next week, is there anything you fancy ?
Otherwise 3" piping with a few mufflers.
Are you a loud an proud person or
Do you want something thats quite down low an loud up high?

Generally the closer you get to the city the more expensive things get, i think if somebody wants to rip me off thered be asking around $1.5k.

im going to be devils advocate and maybe suggest throwing the engine mod money @ handling and braking instead

$500 for V6 Bora / TT brakes and rotors
    $400 to $1.5k for Coils
$400 to $1k for Swaybars (Rear only or F&R kit)
$800 to $? for light wheels and good rubber
