If he changes his mind down the track and wants to put the chrome ones back in, he can!

New "genuine" black badges are about $20 each. That's from eBay though, hence the quotation marks.

Spraying them black can lead to it flaking, unless you scuff the surface with some sandpaper and prepped it right.

If you'd read my first post, you'd see that I got the badges off mk3vr6, who has obviously spray painted them, as the rear one has flaked a little ^_^

Proper genuine black VW ones would be awesome, but even $25 for both off steve incl postage is enough for me.

Ive lost 2 right reflectors already, they keep falling out
I want to replace them with kamei air intakes... not that they make them any more but theres a mob who do a good knock off. If only their stupid paypal merchant didnt think my CC was lost/stolen!

Oh and yes, the wolf thing is very much the idea

any chance you're thinking about colour coding those headlight surrounds while your in cosmetic mod mode?

oh and why would taking the badges off the rear be permanent? they're only stuck on with adhesive arent they? just stick them back on if you want... but yes, i'm also a fan of the bare ass but with vr6 on the front grille

I'm glad that you like them Matt, they look kind of funny seeing them on the otherside of Australia lol.

I made sure I scuffed them first before I attempted to paint them! I used a spray can from Supercheap As I was not really fussed! But they look really awesome on your car Matt
I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...

True that, just use double-side tape Works great with my side mouldings too.
