205 45 16 should be correct for a vr6. you can fit that onto any wheel between 6" wide and 9" wide

yeah they are the right pattern but im pretty sure you need spacers for subaru rims, you will get tyre scrub on the inside.

check this site out, you can do all the calcs yourself (where i got that pic from)

Depending on the width, ET45 is tolerable. The stock BBS wheels are 6.5" wide, ET43. If the Subaru wheels are 7" wide at ET45, it'll just stick in towards the suspension an extra ~8mm or so compared to the stock BBS wheels, which isn't much. Make sure your tyre choice will bring the overall rolling diameter to the same as the stockies too. Size of the tyre can affect clearance as well.

Look for "audi wheels" or "golf wheels" on eBay. Sometimes you might find Mk4 Golf, Audi A3 or Audi TT wheels which will have the same centrebore and stud pattern as the VR6. Direct fit! Best bet is to keep your eye out for the Mk1 Audi TT wheels - they're 17" and look pretty on the Mk3 as well.

offset is too high, and the spoke design often doesn't help much either, I've tried.
