Haha buy them, THEN worry about it
Steve's done it and they fit well. PM him about it. Also search on Vortex for mk4 seats. Lots of info and pictures.
I was looking at these:

and was wondering how hard it would be to fit them in a mk3. would there be any/much welding involved?
I need something to do over my christmas break

yeah they are cheap i bet they put a few dummy bids in tho, i would not pay more than $700.00 for them tho me and neil both sold our seats for around that price.

Hahaha you can borrow it soonish man lol maybe.
If you really want I will help you with it! Its really not that hard once you have done it once. I can make the brackets aswell apart from the rear one, but I know Seb has a beetle for sale which has the same rear bracket that you need.
I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...
spent about an hour sifting through useless threads on vortex just now. basically all of them say you have to trim the wheels to fit in the rails a bit, remove the old brackets and weld in some new ones to fit the mk4 fronts.
