    Mk4 headlights in a Mk 3?

Does anyone know if Mk4 headlights fit into a Mk3?

Is it the same loom behind to wire up plug and play even though the indicators are in a lower section on the Mk3

I'm after a different front look

    Thanks

    no they dont fit. period
    Mounting points all wrong too.

if you want mk4 headlight, get the hella mk4 type MK3 headlights,
hell if you really want you can get them to look like a R32 projector headlight.

Those would be a plug in but the park light would have to be rewired.

You could try http://www.eurocarparts.com.au/ - they have a branch in Brisbane so it might be worth a visit. I remember them having some rare aftermarket goodies (Hella Magic Colour tails) so they might have Mk4-look-alike headlights. They charge quite a bit for their **** though. Otherwise you might want to try importing your own set.

They're good for some things I guess i.e. new 500CA bosch batteries for $95 and when I asked for a Vento front end they quoted me 450 which wasn't bad. Have a look on UK ebay, their exchange rate has dropped considerably in the last few months and it'd be worthwhile getting them from there.

Overseas is going to be your best bet. Make sure you get the right hand drive version though (ie buy from UK not US) as the lights will point in the wrong direction and you will blind other drivers!

Something I almost learnt the hard way ONCE and never again. Overseas is almost always the best options for parts and mail-able modification parts.

Mind you, for the first time ever (yesterday), Tooleys has been the cheaper option than both GAP and even some places in the UK....!!

LOL I just came back from visiting. Wheel hub + wheel bearing kit for $58 each side... think I'll be going to Tooleys too.
