Mk3 window stuck

Hi guys - the motor on the front left window has failed with the window in the full up position. The question is how can I remove the regulator and assembly when the clips on the window cannot be reached - normally the clips come into view through the door when the window is partially down.

Have tried almost everything but can't seem to get any movement or space - the Haines manual is no help

Any assistance would be appreciated - or if this has Been addressed on this forum please let me know - a search did not result in anything just then

Hey mate, I removed my regulators recently. Just reached up with a ring spanner, you only get about 1/8 of a turn at a time so need to be patient.

I will have a go at it but will need to get some skinny ring spanners
