    today. got to play.

put stock seats in, ugly red leathers gone.
was driving around and backrest broke so was driving like a thug for an hour til i got home. was aware it was broken before purchased too.
rear muffler rusted off, was aware of it before i bought it. removed the whole thing and its so bloody loud. fun but. 2.5" res catback going on next week, already has a high flow cat.
cleaned the bejeesus out of the interior, still a bit grubby but alot better than it was.
    removed fake woodgrain.
cleaned leaves out of leaf guard under windshield and put a new pollen filter in,
    removed all stickers,
removed rust grille. black badgeless on, will be body colour when i finish front bumper and bonnet respray eventually.

may buy zales 17x8 bbs rs2's

paintless dent removal is also on the agenda. and an interior shampoo.

heres some pics of todays work.
vw meet tonight so will get some body pics, not that much has changed.

Rust is gone. Running a shaved black bumper and baseless grille. Just bought a complete vento though so doing a vento front end.

You should put a mk4 golf on the front instead The cars got heaps of potential! I'd put a mk4 on the front of my colour concept but half of the people on this forum would hunt me down!

Mk4 front ends don't go straight onto mk3's anyway. They are wider and require major work to be done. More than likely any 'Mk4' front end you see would be off a 3.5 cabby as they look like a mk4 but are the dimensions of a mk3. I agree with the majority that it doesn't look right but if you can find a 3.5 bonnet, both fenders and bumper for a decent price go for it. Chances are you won't as they aren't all that common. Then you'll have to do bodywork to the rest of the car to make the lines all match up to make it look right. It's a lot of effort to make your car look worse. In saying that your car, your taste, do what you want and makes you happy. End of the day it's your car, no point in you not doing something because everyone on here says something different. You never know you might be able to prove everyone wrong. Although if you are going to do it make sure you do some serious research otherwise you'll find yourself wasting money on panels that don't fit.

Didn't buy the vento front end. Ill stick with shaved and badgess until I get the car tidied up how I want it. Fixed central locking after I removed it ( face palm ) and rear driving bulb sockets. Going to suss out not working
    Blower motor on Tuesday.
