MK3 VR6 panel question

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if a bonnet and radiator support panel are the same on a GL 4 cylinder as a VR6? I had a bit of a front ender and need these parts and found some cheap on a GL.

Outside panels are the same.
Only thing I can think of that might be slightly different is the bulge on the bonnet?
The radiator support is different to a vr6.

Question,

When taking the front bumper off my VR6, I had to take the bar behind it off too because a couple of the bolts holding the bumper in place were crossthreaded and would not come out.
Is the bar behind the bumpers the same on the Vr6/gl/cl?
