mk3 vr6 gearbox bolts

just a quick question guys.

my car has been off the road for a few months due to a shattered pressure plate. I have just finished up gathering the parts needed to get it all back together, well just one problem.

how many bolts is there for the gearbox to bolt up to the motor?
i have managed to find about four of them.

any help is appreciated

Oh there's a fair few more than that!

I remember like 12? Might not be that many though, or it might be more! I just know it's more than four.

Here's a picture that I found in the timing chain DIY thread, it doesn't show everything but it's a fairly good view of where the bigger gearbox bolt holes are.

There are 10.
You can buy brand new ones from VW for less than $3 each and they come with the factory locking sealant on them.
