Give the intake manifold a good scrub with some strong stuff (i used some CLR lime and rust remover stuff/ may have also tried a bit of Hydrochloric acid :s....). It'll come up really nice and improves the engine bay heaps. Just make sure you give it a good wash off after you use the heavy cleaner and dont get any of it on plastic etc!

Also, give all your pipes/ battery a go over with some trim restorer or atleast give them a good wipe. And try and polish up all exposed paint like the strut towers etc. It'll make it look a million times better.

Went for a cruise in the golf today, ended up in Geelong and went for a drive along the beach. This is seriously the first car that I have owned in a long time that I am happy just driving more then building.

So I haven't updated for a little, I snapped my driveshaft a week before dovw, I got a new one and did some other things, I had it driving again on the friday before dovw and was all happy that I was going to get down there. On the Saturday I took the VR6 out to pick my son up from my parents house, on the way back some **** head ran a red light I locked up to miss him and because the roads where wet I ended up putting the car into the gutter. Nothing major just bent control arm and tierod end ans some damage to the wheel. I was so pissed off that IIwas going to miss dovw I threw it in the garage and left it there untill today. This morning I went out and ripped the control arms and suspension out, hopefully ill have it all back in tomorrow.

    Pulling it all out

    I love Australia post.

Now I'm waiting on Tim at dub addiction to get some more BFI engine mounts in and ill change them over.

Has anyone used the BFI engine mounts? If you have what ones did you get and did you get many rattles?
