    mk3 vr6 airconditioning

Like most mk3 vr6 owners my aircon is history. Problem is I live on the gold coast and own a matte black car Anyone got the tip as to where to buy a new compressor the cheapest etc etc - I need to look into getting this sorted asap. I see gap has them for 465 but who knows what shipping will be!

From what I've found the compressors are different for the vr6. Not sure if you can still sue the other one though. Probably not.

I remember Ryan has shipped one for Mk2 from GAP, shipping cost was less than $150 USD. That could give you a guideline.

    Yep that's right
Think is was around $120 (?) shipped.

If you get the compressor installed by an A/C tech they'll want a receiver/filter drier too.

I have made a phone call and I am waiting for them to ring me back. I know of one brand new in Nambour for around $450-500 and they can fit it for you as well. I was going to get it put in my Passat VR6 but now will be selling the Passat to the wreckers when the rego runs out. If you are interested PM me.
