    Will have to look at these things a little closer.

    Anyone actually done this sort of mod before? How hard was it to put it in?

    yeh i was thinkin of doing it, it looks freakin sweet when you do (i saw something on vwvortex where the dude posting actually replaced all the lights in the dash and behind the LCDs with red LEDs. anything other than stock looks awesome.

    it would probably take a few hours to take apart and reassemble, so i would leave it as a weekend job and make sure you have another car available for justin ("just in case" that is!)

    I also hear that you have to be VERY careful when threading the faceplate over the needle because apparently you can offset the readings...

    edit: also, if you end up going for it, create a new thread and do a tutorial for us all!
