    MK3 Door Locks

I have recently busted the door lock barrels on my VR6 and now cannot lock my doors. It happened a couple of months apart...the drivers side going first, then the other side today.
After a nasty little snap within the lock I can no longer lock or unlock the car from the outside.

I would like to be able to lock my car, does anyone have any insights into the best way to repair these?

I was thinking this may be a good time to upgrade to keyless entry, is there a good cost comparison between this and just repairing the barrels?

YOu can contact Golf Loon for a second hand eccentric "hook thing" or a "heavy duty aftermarket set for ~$80 from Tooleys imports honsby.

A keyless entry is also about the $80-100 mark with the flip key fob.

    Thanks

    Thanks SoundofaV6, that does help.
The installation looks pretty straight forward, is it basically the same for the keyless setup?

Keyless is basically 4 wires spliced in at the vacuum pump in the boot. It's easy as, but either way I would be fixing the door locks, you never know when you will get a flat battery (or more likely a busted vacuume pump) and need the key

Cool, how do I order from you to send down to Melbourne. Assuming I only need two for the front doors?
