MK3 Aircon question

Hi everybody,

Anybody have any idea of how much gas the GL system will carry?
Slowly getting my car up to scratch - some more cleaning and touch up work and i will be posting pics and smiling everyday! If anyone has any questions regarding gearbox and linkage changes, feel free to hit me up. Replacing the thermo fan an waterpump tomorrow.

I"m not sure, but does it matter? Normally gas places charge about $100 to gas a system up regardless.

Sorry, I didn't mean that to come across as harsh as it reads, I haven't noticed in any of the manuals I have a listing for how much gas is in the system, most likely because it's not a "user replaceable" part.

Will have another trawl through the workshop manual and see if I can come up with anything.

800 grammes and you will lose 50g in the lines, so really by rights the charge will be 800+50g. Dont forget your PAG oil as well. When you vac that system dont do it for any less than 30mins mate.
