Yeah and when i say crush, the lot gets crushed, no parts stripped off, depends on the price of metal at the time. They hoist the car pierce the gearbox and engine sump with a big spike to drain the oils, pierce the rad and screen wash bottle. Then 10 mins later its a cube. bloody shame.

I have run a few of those bangers. I got a 1988 Passat GT wagon off ebay for £62.50. 4 months tax on it was worth that. £50 for the MOT including wiper blades. Had to buy a battery too cos that failed on the first cold day. Sold for closer to £500.
I'd be called a recycler for that these days.
