    The missing link

hey guys i am in desperate need of this lead. it has the audi/vag part number of 8lo 972 710 on it and is some kind of adapter lead that goes between the existing window harness plug and the aftermarket window motor. The pictures are of one that i found in a thread on vortex. mine is completely shagged through water damage and split wiring etc.
its either find where i can purchase this lead from or buy a new oem window motor which i really dont have the money for right now.
    stressed

any help would be much appreciated
    many thanks in advance

    dave

Looks like a wheels speed sensor for your ABS??

Edit: missed the window reference in my quick (read: lightning fast) reading. Apologies for the unhelpful post

Surely you can just remake the lead with solder and some patience

I need one of those too, my window kept going down by itself. If you find a good place to get one, let me know.

    Cheers

I put that number into ETKA and it is just the plug. I think I have door looms in my shed. What do you need exactly?

A photo would be good. Bigger than the vortex ones.

i would just bypass the plug that plugs into the door loom by soldering pins onto the wires themselves but it seems that on the cicruit board of the plug some of the wires are connected..., maybe for earthing or somethin to do with the drivers side control being able to control the passenger window aswell. heres a pic of mine. i am at work so i will put up a better photo when i get home

here is the pics of my lead. as you can see, the plug that is supposed to go to the door loom was water damaged from water coming down the outside of the window, so it has had the rubber sheath peeled back off in an effort to repair it but that lasted about a week, so now i either need a new lead (if i can find somewhere that sells them or makes them upon order) or get someone thats a dab hand with electronics, to repair this one...... or if all else fails i think the most expensive option will be to replace the (perfectly good) window motor with a oem one that nix's this lead

all helpful responses appreciated..... and trust me, if i could afford a new window motor, it would have been fitted yesterday, but times are a-tight

You have an Italian aftermarket regulator made by a random aftermarket manufacturer 10 years ago. Good luck in your search.
