When can we expect to see glossy, fresh, clean paint? Mid-next week sometime?

I'm actually not sure about that one! Seeing as the panelbeater is going to finish the hatch, and may need to go over some of the prepwork himself, I'm assuming we're not going to spray on the weekend. We might though, so I've left myself free in case I can help wipe down/clean/tape/etc.

Don't you worry...I'll have my camera there and ready for as soon as paint goes on

Gee, I hate to sound like a snobby prick, but I wish I'd have painted all the hi-fill primer myself originally...

My rear bumper came out practically perfect - smooth as a baby's ass..

Car is in the panel shop! Went over it with him today, he said it's all pretty good but when he takes the doors off and gets it ready he'll go over it to make sure it's all good. He'll finish off the hatch for me, aaaaaand he said he'll have it ready during the week so the windscreen guy can replace the windscreens on Friday, ready for pickup on Saturday... just 7 days away

Well he seemed confident in getting it done, quickly, so even if the bill goes over the assumed rate of maximum $1000, then meh. He's looking after me because I was a recommendee. I'm going to do some detailing for him too which will bring the cost down

Nice dude. What colour are you going? Be careful of the paint when you get it back if it's baked.. It will be soft for a few days, especially in this weather.
