Time for some proper coils mate![]()
Uhh, I should probably get another picture with the rest of the car. It's plenty low; doesn't go lower on current suspension. I have no interior also, so bear with me biatches!

Time for some proper coils mate![]()
| MY15.5 Mk3 Octavia vRS TSI | DSG | Black Pack | H&R Springs | 18" BBS RSII |
Little bit of progress todayPaint was bought this morning, I got 1.5L of crystal white pearl groundcoat, 1.5L of crystal white pearl and 5L of clear + 2.5L hardener. The pearl is a really nice grey/slight blue so I think it will bring out the lines of the car really nicely. I'm thinking monday evening I'll have a piece of photo paper sprayed up with 1/2/3/4 layers of pearl and half clearcoat/non clearcoat to decide how many layers I want.
I started sanding down the hi-fill areas also. All of the primered areas got a guide coat, and I finished the first area on the bonnet (also the largest, phew). There's no edge anymore when running a hand over the paint. Also the boot open solenoid was installed today; the little button is sitting on the LHS of the steering wheel, nice and subtle
I'll get some pics soon.
Edit: Next on the list is to lightly sand and hi-fill the bumper tops, including the GL spec side-strips I recently acquired. My mate is gonna finish the repairs on the rear right door for me, and his dad is going to help us get the line straight on the hatch. Hopefully we'll have all this at least under way by Tuesday!

Yeehaa, good progress today!
-Ripped up the red on my interior pillars because they had just started to sag in three places, and removed glue/residue then painted black to match the rest of the interior plastic.
-left side of the car is nearly all done with wetsanding the hi fill; just got the fender to do.
-roof and hatch hi-fill wetsanded.
-remnants of the side skirts completely removed, and the paint underneath prepped for respray - I must say I think I'll leave it without sideskirts! I thought it was going to have stoneguard there but it's all lovely and smooth (well...after removing the sticky glue with a RAZOR it is...) - it does look pretty damn clean.
-door channels all cleaned within an inch of their life...thankyou Vikan detailing brushes for allowing my hands to survive this job.
Some pictures:
I much prefer the door channels without that black strip of texture on the bottom rail.

Good stuff, get into it!
I reckon it looks much better without that textured black strip on the bottom rail. Noice!
Top work bloke!
Looks better without the skirt. How about smoothing the sill too?
Black would look good there, to tie in the front and rear lips.
