Update, for Trent's sake.
My headlights are foggy. I'm re-siliconing the edges.
Nah for real...I might go put the new fuel filter in if I can be bothered.

Well there's been nothing happening over the past 26 hours in this section so I'm going to bump my thread in anticipation of lots of repairs and lots of droppage in only three days

hope you get everything done brooooooo
Alright, I got bored. I'll give you guys a quick update of where we are now
So far, we've ripped the engine bay apart, installed the new clutch, installed/REPAIRED the new timing chain (old rails....eek...) and the box is back in. All we have left to finish off (hopefully all tomorrow) is bolting the starter motor back on, bolting driveshafts back together and ancillaries. We should get it done in time to finally put my new COILOVERS in the car too
Anyways. /yabbing on, here's some pics!
Some bolts just don't like to come out the traditional way...:
Here's the box out after lots of swearing(WINNER!):
uhhh...why don't my gears work?
Old timing chain:
Old vs New....One of three old rails that had actually SNAPPED (good thing i did this when i did....!!):
Timing chains replacement:
New chains:
I'm so glad we did this ourselves... (thankyou Mischa/Pedro/Jayjay) I'm really pleased with our progress - albeit a tiny bit slow - I've saved myself heaps of money and gained stacks of knowledge.
