    help in WA

Hi all new to the mk3 scene, well had a highline vr 12 years ago and a 94 gti 10 years ago so know abit but not alot if you know what i mean.I have just taken delivery of a white vr today brought off carsales from VIC only saw a few pics didn't look to bad 18" rims with hot tuning coil overs and leather, picked it up today not to bad needs paint to roof and bonnet and some trim missing but the 18"s are going to cause probs over the pits, does anyone on here in Perth have some stock rims to borrow for the day i can swap with my 18"s for the day or even pay to borrow them.I need to get it licensed for the German car day for my mrs to take down to join the cruise. Cheers Russell

Unless it has NO plates at all, you can still drive it for a while. The last time I checked you could legally drive a car around on interstate plates for up to 3 months before having to get it registered locally (but that was kind of 20 years ago).

I have a set of 16" rims in the shed, but no tires unfortunately. I wanna get rid of them, if ur keen let me know.

not true matt, I bought my audi ex Qld with plates still attached and I had to get a special 48 hour permit, just to collect from the car depot and drive to the pits for inspection
