Messy wires in VR engine bay.

Does everyone have this problem? There seems to be wires with old electrical tape on them running everywhere. Has anyone neatened theirs up or just retaped them. How can you make it look a little tidier? Is there a casing you can wrap them in?

Some stuff u just cant get to. In some areas the white insulator wrap has turned black and can just be cracked off. Im not really worried since nobody looks underneath, the neatest would be to rewrap it with electrical tape i think. The electrical insulator (like heat shrink but no shrinking lol) is good but requires an open end so u can feed the wire into it.

the stuff jaycar sells is split and u can put it around the wires and then just snap-lock it back together

Are u talking about the black stuff with sorta mini up and down ridges? If u want cheaper alternatives head to bunnings and buy their plastic hoses which is the same and cut it urself.

    Yeah, that's the stuff...

I bought 10 metres for about $20, and used every inch... Such a worthwile investment IMO that I feel the $$$'s was worth it...

In the pic I posted, look at the top left and top right of the engine bay; that looming I've done with the conduit is the most apparent... It really neatens things up and you can get the stuff into any nook and cranny you need to, as it just slides on and snaps back into place...

If you can cheap it and still get the same quality job go for it, but the $$$'s spent is soooooooo worth it

    Cheers!!!

That stuff is better than insulation tape that goes gooey with heat.
