Haha good to see you're getting that bonnet painted! Also know what you mean about missing the yellow haha.
Small little update time!
Okay, so after a month of having my wheels sitting on my verandah doing absolutely nothing, except for probably getting even rustier than they were when I first got them, I finally got off my backside and decided I'd do something about them. Spending a few hours on them last weekend, I removed about only half the bolts that were on them as the rest were completely buggered and rusty and had no heads on them.
Look at all them rusts
Once I took of what I could I headed down to BSA wheels in Peakhurst and politely asked them for a plug and redrill of my faces. I'm picking these up this saturday. The next step on this wheel rebuild is to get the barrels rolling true again and fix a tiny crack and flat spot on one of them and hopefully paint them a nice matte grey, as well as painting the faces their original colour. I'll also be buying some new lips and definitely new bolts.

Finally, this morning I dropped the car off at our local paint shop after getting an awesome quote the other week. That yellow bonnet is finally getting the paint job it deserves but I must say, I'm gonna miss having yellowbonnetswag.

Go you good thing!
keen for white bonnet, going to look like a completely different car!
Two updates in the same week? Madness!
Anywho, picked the car up earlier today and oh my goodness does she look perfect now!
I was thinking I'd colour match the door trim as well but idk, for some reason I decided I'd paint them satin black. New clips are arriving soon for them and I'm gonna hold off until then to install them.
And because...
They've been redrilled (but not plugged) and I've got more parts coming for them very, very soon New bolts, lips, waffles and all that BBS goodness. Next step on these though is to get these and the barrels cleaned up and powder coated.
Plans for this weekend are to fix a little clear coat peel on my hatch and respray the bottom of the rear bumper because I ceebs heat gunning it.
Until next time, happy scraping!
PS. I've noticed that my pictures lately have been looking blurry; that's due to the compression when I upload them to imgur. Don't think I'll be using that site anymore.
Looks good dude! Front end is awesome!
