    hooning in general

Cheers! I've had a word with some people and have been given a list of people/workshops to take them to so I can [because I want to] do the work myself! I'm pretty excited

Hey guys! It's been a little while since I properly updated my thread but over the past few months/weeks I've been tinkering away at my dog-box and here's whats been happening!

So a couple of months back I went down to and helped Smeeb do his rear end conversion and as a little thank you, his dad let me leave with a set of sideskirts. After months of them sitting in my garage, about 4 weeks ago I gave my uncle a call and we fitted them. Also bought a GTI lip off a friendly forum member and the car is looking... somewhat pretty.

Last week, I installed a pod filter. Bought an average one from Autobarn and got an adaptor made by the blokes that did my exhaust.

A couple of months back I bought a set of textured door mouldings. The plan is to get these colour coded, so every weekend that I get the chance, I spend a few hours either sanding them down or priming them. So far I've sanded and primed the two rear ones, and just sanded the front passengers side. Will be getting these professionally painted along with my bonnet and front bumper when I get the time.

I must admit though, I'm one kinda lucky guy. A few years ago my sister made the decision to move overseas... specifically, to Germany! So every so often, as a "sorry I left your arse back at home" gift, my sister buys me and sends me a little gift. This time though, I made an order and ended up with a new grille this thing legit only cost her 12 euros.
I have the lower strip coming in a few days time and will install once I get all the bits painted and looking nice.

Finally, the wheels. These are being delayed a little bit more because I've encountered a problem with the disassembly of them; some of the nuts and bolts have no heads, so my sockets are literally useless. I'm going to remove as many as I can myself this week and when I get them redrilled (hopefully thats next Saturday), the bloke I'm taking them to can figure the rest out as I just don't have the tools /:

    Until next time, happy scraping!
