So, after a few weeks of looking around I finally settled on this little bargain! Picked it up for 2k, with a full years worth of rego on it, everything working mechanically and a clean interior!




(excuse the bad photo angles, didn't have much room between the house and the car)

Car needs:

• Wheel alignment
• Aircon needs wiring up
• replacement head unit (current aftermarket one is buggered)
• reupholster headlining
• lowering

Things I want:

• set of 17's (wheels I'm going for are a surprise)
• coilovers
• reupholster seats/inside of doors
• antenna stub

My car is odd, it has build date 1 and 2 features.
A stub on the fender? I'm sure it's been done before, shouldn't be too hard.

Just checked vortex and most of their DIY links are gone /: but it can be done. I'm sure the boys at Autobarn or something will know of a way.

If I remember correctly there is a set of mk3 on for sale at the moment. Cheap as too!

Rear disks?!?! I did a bit of googling and they say if you have drums, to just keep them; it's not worth the hassle with such a low powered engine.


Need to get the gearbox fixed - the centering springs are gone and it's making it impossible to shift from 2nd to 3rd and from 5th down to 4th. Plus, it sits under 5th when in neutral :S

Ah yes. Only 200 odd dollery-doos off ebay and cheers for the offer but eh, it's too much work to go from drums to disks and I don't have that cash right now
