Slowly but surely, dollar after dollar it'll get there. VAGCOM is very handy. Was a pain in the butt for ages though as I spent a long time getting my eBay cable to work but I got there in the end. Am thinking about keeping the wheel fitting a secret until GAD so might be waiting a while for photos. Although I'm not very good at keeping secrets so we'll see.

Rolled my left rear guard today rolled fine and no cracks. Tried fixing my right rear. Ruined it even more, not happy. Scared what a panel beaters going to charge live and learn. Don't go overboard with the fender roller.

I think my running problems are being caused by the infamous 12v coilpack. All the symptoms are described are what I'm experiencing and is a known problem for the vr6. Going to give the diy jb weld a go tomorrow. Hopefully that will sort out my issues.

After a battle with stripped bolts managed to get the coil pack out. Looked fine, no cracks. Might be time for some new spark plugs. I know stock is NGK bkr5eku. Anyone recommend where to get them? Or an alternative available at supercheap, autobahn etc. And how to get the leads out without the lead pulling tool?

Im pretty sure u can get em at supercheap, autobahn etc
Otherwise check ebay if not then call tooleys or imparts there in sydney, pretty sure they post out things like this, best to order 2or3 things at the same time cause then there'll nicely bubble wrap it if u ask. I last bought off tooleys, nice people. havent been to imparts yet.
If u can, change your leads, oil/filter an fuel filter. Give it abit of a service so its all good for the trip to GAD !
i did a service last week
Damn, pulls so strong now !

Id use the lead pulling tool, i damaged one of my leads using my long nose pliers and i had only pulled 1 !
I got no idea how to use this bloody tool, i still have the plastic one clipped to the bonnet holding stick (forgot what its called).

Didn't I give you a metal plug tool in that box of bits? As for coil packs, it was replaced with a shiny new one not so long ago but that doesn't seem to mean squat when it comes to the VR6's

From memory the plugs are about $10 or so locally with most places able to order them for you.

Really looking forward to seeing the old girl at GAD!

Sweet well I'll have a look around. Went on the supercheap site and it looks like they have them. Cheers mate, will definitely check out all those shops when I need stuff. Much better than buying overseas and paying heaps for shipping and waiting ages.

Not that I could find? Oil filters, coilover tool, key immobilisers, oil socket thing and the bentley (which I'm so greatful for). Couldn't find plug removal tool in the engine bay or spare tyre. If you have anymore spare bits / tools you'd like to donate to the cause I'd appreciate it.

Hopefully it'll be all schmick at GAD for you.

I'll have a hunt in the tool box because I did buy a steel removal tool once upon a time. I also have the stock leads and a few sensors you can have if you want to come pick them all up some time.
