Not sure when the adapters are arriving as Ian is down at Targa Tasmania this week so I imagine they will come sometime after that.....

The question I have is about tyres.

My question is, sure I will need to work out how much section width I need with a test fit, but how important is the circumference in selecting rubber as I have varying diameters Front & Rear. I can see one would be trying to overdrive the other if they are too far out, but is there a "range" where the effects will be close to nil?

Your front tyres will wear quicker than your rear tyres if they were all rolling the same, so if anything I'd say that smaller circumference tyres on the back will even out the wear as they will need to roll quicker to match the larger circumference.

That said, you probably wouldn't notice the difference bro. The difference between the same tyre on the same wheel, one having a 45 profile and then the other a 40 profile will probably see about....i'm guessing maybe a month or two's difference on a daily driver? But as I said, front wears more anyway so you'll need to fiddle around with tyres before the rears wear completely out.

Ok so I recieved a letter today, the story goes like this....

When I lost my licence, the policeman notified me that my licence will be suspended for 6 months, effective immediately and I can't drive until April 30, 2010. Not a problem.

I spoke to a solicitor about my situation and we both knew I didn't have a leg to stand on, however he did mention that there is likely a chance that I will be notified of a suspension of licence for 'loss of points'. I think this is because the RA and police are separate entities.

I got that letter today, a letter of suspension for a further 3 months as a results of losing all my points. The offence that caused me to lose my points, has actually been served, so I have to appeal and get to go to court. Here's hoping....

Just a little frustrated and a bit of a diary of whats happening up my neck of the woods.....ha

That's a bummer mate. You'd think they could of at least let you know earlier. Once you get your license back, will you be back to full points, or do they start you off with just a point or two for a while until you reaccumulate them?

I've been waiting since last August for a letter to dictate the suspension period. Hoping I'm fully licensed by the time it comes!

With P plater suspensions, your points are wiped clean after the suspension term

I still think you'll be right if u go into court and show that you're a nice young lad that learnt his lesson with the first HALF YEAR being unable to drive; from my experience in court (even though I didn't explain myself well enough, and subsequently lost lol) they're not hard-asses, and they're not unwilling to 'help you' so to speak. Best of luck, and I hope you can come croooooz with me soon

Thanks for the words Mick, my date is set for June 17, so I can drive until then, then find out my fate. I have about 8 conditions logged on my grounds for appeal, so hopefully I present well enough and will be fine.

Saturday in 2 weeks we can go for a gentle drive big guy
