Just FYI, the rears cannot have their camber adjusted (static), and best to use camber bolts on the top for max adjustment. Two camber bolts on the one side is excessive. The only time I had to do that was when one side of the car was sitting with positive camber.
I got half a degree positive on one side and half a degree negative on the other.

So you reckon get a square and protractor out, and dial in whatever settings and then go get my toe adjusted?

Went to the King Edward Park Hillclimb put on by the MG Car Club of Newcastle today. Kind of got me inspired. Thinking of going in next year, afetr a few practise days up at Ringwood of course. Adjustable camber would certianly help.

The bottom bolt is supposed to be adjusted for the camber on the fronts. If they say they cant adjust it tell em that or take it to another place.

You should definitely get yourself to Ringwood mate. It's bloody good fun. A fire extinguisher and a helmet and you're good to go... The front wheel drives do pretty well there too.

I'm going in the King Edward Park hill climb next year. The e30 isn't ready for the track yet in that it needs decent rubber, and i've only got my street tyres for the golf. The Oran Park track day on November 7th is what i'm aiming for at the moment. I think the next ringwood hillclimb might be the weekend after that too btw.

    Long time, no update lads...

I got defected (amongst other things) and had to change a few things regarding my car

One of these was to get new tyres, dumping the car and not having camber bolts at the ready really smashed my Federals. I replaced them with Bridgestone Adrenalin RE001's, at pretty much 200 a pop for the standard 15s its a large amount of coin, but the directness and accuracy is far improved. Traction is also miles better (can qualify in the dry)...Well worth it for anybody wanting handling/performance from their car.

My wheels are now black, home job, definitely not perfect, but cheap way to enhance the overall look.

Camber Bolts: I ordered H&R ones from ECS Tuning, the ones I recieved don't fit, I'll be machining mine tomorrow as the face/boss that exists does not allow them to adjust the camber on my JOM's. Little bit frustrating but all will be good.

I have purchased some new shoes from everybody's favourite Preeny, it will certainly be a very different setup to what we normally see, but I think it will look great. I need them re-drilled and tyres also, if i'm lucky i'll be able to rock them for the summer cruise.

    That will do for now

Has anybody else had a problem with H&R camber bolts from ECS? I have changed my arrangment (didn't want to machine them) and appear to be able to adjust them. I can't work out why the tyre shop couldn't do the alignment in the first place ???

On a much much much brighter note, these arrived today

Preeny is a champ, I think these will look hot.

At present they are 5x130, so need redrill or adapters.

    Specs:
    15x7 ET23
    16x7 ET23

As I said, will be a very interesting setup, I think it will look pretty tight though.
