    Making these fit??

Last night I acquired a polished set of Honda CRX rims, i prefer them to my stock alloys, still 14's but i need coilovers first anyway. Anyway the gist of my post is the hub clearance issue i'm having. What can be done to clear the hubs? It must be pretty close at the moment. Anyone had this probelm before? Can it be overcome? Just get your VW wheels polished instead, and save yourself alot of trouble.

are u referring to the centre bore of the rim being too small to fit on the VW hub? Most wheel repairing shops should be able to open it up a little bit. But yeah. I reckon ud be best spending your money else where. I like your current rims more! second hand VW rims are usually available pretty cheaply as well. just keep an eye out and get something that is gonna look nice and fit without modification from the get go.

Thanks for the input guys, i got the honda rims for free so i wasnt looking to drop a load of cash fitting measly 14's. Saying that, I have a 97 Polo that sits on 13in steelies so they could be of some use if I can get the bore issue sorted cheaply. Anyone in Brisbane have know a guy in wheel repairs? On an otherwise unrelated issue, how good are Mk3 golfs?? Really?? I have had mine for over 2years and 70,000kms (204,000kms on the clock). I have changed my second car so many times over that same period, driven so many cars, used, new etc etc. For me, nothing has come close. Anyone agree?

The missus has a Mk3 GL and it has been ultra reliable. Only problem was a few months ago when the coil failed. They don't give any notice but is an easy diagnosis and fix. Cheers
