You said you don't like rake. So why would you give your car rake?
Are you building this car for yourself or to impress the guys?
hey peeps
quick question.
ill be fooling around with the height of my VR in the coming weeks and just want to know if you prefer rake or not.
most of the trick VRs on the web have some form of rake, which i personally dont like.
im 11cm front and 16cm rear which will be dialed out soon.
so rake? or no rake?
is it possible to not have any rake at all?

I'm all for rake (forwards that is)
If you can get the tyre to arch gap even on all four corners it should be sitting pretty without too much obvious rake.
Once you start to get less gap in the back and level out the side skirts (or worse, reverse rake) it starts to look like a bogans car. It seems all the VRs go heavy in the rear, I know mine at home sits like that on stock springs
i sold it to a guy without it.
i bought it back from the same guy with it.
im dialing it out soon.
im just curious what other people like.
Even wheel arch gap is the important bit..
when you have the wheel arch gap even on a mk3 is looks as though there is a small amount of rake due to the lines of the car.
I dont mind it at all
I like my cars like I like my woman. Face down ass up.
i'm all about the rake
i must be the only one that doesnt like rake![]()
My car was raking at some point but i prefer it to be evenly placed. My car is sitting pretty nice now but to OP. your asking yourself a rhetorical question. You don't like rake so why would you suggest a question when you already know the answer. Build the car the way you want, if it looks good to you then leave it how you want it.
Build and learn, not buy and earn.
