maf maybe?
Hi all,
My gl is suffering from a lack of power under acceleration.
I don't believe it is a headgasket or anything of that nature, it's just got progressively less responsive, especially when it's cold which leads me to believe it's a vacuum leak or similar (also no loss of water or milky crap around oil cap). If not think it could be a problem with dirty plugs or knakered leads?
The idle is a little rough sits at about 900 rpm when warm, but has an intermittent drop in revs, i'm wondering if this is related?
It'll bog down when you try to take off and jurks around until above 3000rpm when it'll open up and go fine. It also coughs and does the same thing if you try and give it too much at lower revs..
Any suggestions would be great, as it has nearly caused a crash once or twice
cheers

Probably throttle body. What does car rev out to??
What engine code?? 2E has an ISV which could be buggered or need cleaning.

Early 2E, not sure what that would make it ('94 model car).
It'll rev out to 6K, probably more but don't push it any more than that.
Just the lower revs are a real pain to get it going at times.
